WORLDLY MARKET

I stared into the great blue sky,
glaring at the expanse of heaven.
And there appeared a place hidden to the human eye,
I floated on high toward this alien dwelling.

The puissant inhabitants of Earth flooded the city,
all seeking a similar commodity of trade.
For this reason the market was remarkably busy,
and the goods they purchased left me afraid.

Stall owners peddled not in locust beans but leprosy,
and women dressed in gold robes littered the marketplace;
haggling over the price of a relative's destiny,
with the winds carrying requests of a reasonable bargain.

The clouds darkened, and I wondered what this could portend,
I then saw a calabash bearing my fortunes, purchased by my devoted friend.

PERFIDY

O my fair maiden!
Why hast thou poisoned me so
for thy vile lover?

DEAR ESTHER

Dear Esther,
I write to you this unholy hour,
with candlelight dwindling, my idle hand I bestir,
and the depths of my heart I devotedly scour.
My love for you refuses to forsake me,
yet my devoted core hardens at the image of your eyes.
Inordinate is my affection toward thee,
it dwarfs the enormity of the seas of Marseille.
Wax drools from the cierges mouth,
indicating my retiring hour draweth near.
Erratically I wish to conclude this twelvemonth peace drouth,
but to acquit thy indiscretions I remain unsur...

Two sentence Creepers

She had established her presence in the kitchen, decapitating the restaurant of its master chefs.

Her head sat idly on the dining table.

CLOAKED PESTILENCE

You knock on my door to dominate my house,
I fight against you but you rip out my guts;
growing weaker each day as my heart slowly rots,
as my burning flames of life, you affectionately douse.
The sun’s glare pierced through the crystal clear window,
beaming dreadfully off the blade of your wicked scythe;
with your empty eyes that were ever so blithe,
my wife, you would soon make a defenceless widow.
In the distance appears a grapevine,
as I slowly begin to flatline.

INTERMINABLE AGONY

Arise, O compatriots is drowned by the thundering tanks,
the earth tremors at the ejaculate of the holy war.
Teachers lie prone from bullets delivered to their shanks,
dismissing dreams of being lawyers to become a dastard's whore.

My notebooks bore the brains of my beloved friend,
her ambitions flowed on the crooked lines of the pages.
The crow sings of the deaths that have known no end,
our burkas reek of the vagabonds seed that leave ivory traces.

I am forcefully wed to my scurvy captor,
as a confetti of shell casings bless this unholy union.
We are rescued from the bridewell and conclude this spiteful chapter,
but our oppressive liberators would prove to be masters of delusion.

For a paltry morsel of tuwo they possessed us,
and our honour flows from the vulva confessing their lusts.
