TRYST WITH THE LAGOON

She winked and tossed and gracefully turned,
luring me to dance to her seductive song.
Deeper and deeper I fell in love,
slowly succumbing to her advances.
She glimmers with beauty at day and at night,
and no equal damsel is ever in sight;
for no such diamonds had shone so bright,
as the lagoon of the mainland bridge.
